What UM Means

UM stands for Unrealistic Melee.

UM allows characters who are stronger than normal humans, but the combat is still usually focused on melee or close-range action.

• 💪 Superhuman strength

• ⚡ Faster-than-human movement

• 🩸 Limited regeneration

• 👁️ Enhanced senses

• 🦴 Tougher bodies

• 🥊 Supernatural hand-to-hand combat

UM Usually Limits

• ❌ Massive ranged magic spam

• ❌ City-destroying attacks

• ❌ Planetary powers

• ❌ Reality warping

• ❌ Instant unavoidable attacks

UM Example

A vampire lunges forward with enhanced speed, claws extended, attempting to slash across an opponent’s ribs.

That fits UM because the character is supernatural, but still fighting physically.

UM is good for players who want supernatural flavor without going completely overpowered.
