đź‘‘ THE CELESTINE BLOODLINE đź‘‘

Emperor Cin, Empress Consort Vesta, and Empress Consort Savory are not merely dragons. They are Celestines, descendants of an ancient lineage of Cosmic Dragons said to have been born among the stars before the first worlds were formed. Long before kingdoms rose on the earth, the Celestines drifted through the void between galaxies, weaving constellations, shepherding comets, and shaping the celestial currents that govern fate.
Unlike mortal dragons, Celestines possess extraordinarily long lifespans often spanning tens of thousands of years, and while they can be slain, true death is rare. Upon death, their souls travel through the Astral Sea and are eventually reborn through a sacred cycle known as The Stellar Reclamation, allowing them to reincarnate into a new body while retaining fragments of their former memories, loves, triumphs, and regrets. As Celestines, the Imperial Triumvirate possess powers beyond ordinary dragonkind, including astral projection across vast distances, manipulation of gravity, limited control over time perception, the ability to traverse the space between realms, immunity to most mortal diseases and toxins, and the rare gift of Starfire, a celestial flame capable of burning both flesh and soul.
Their scales can withstand incredible punishment, their minds resist magical intrusion, and their presence alone often inspires awe, fear, devotion, or submission in lesser beings. Their favored weapons are relics forged from fallen stars: Emperor Cin wields Astra Dominus, a massive greatsword forged from a collapsed neutron star; Vesta carries The Eclipse Scepter, a weapon capable of channeling cosmic energies and devastating magical force; while Savory commands The Twin Comets, a pair of celestial blades said to move faster than thought.
Despite their immense power, they are not invincible. Celestines are vulnerable to certain ancient void magics, artifacts crafted from dead stars, and prolonged separation from celestial energy can gradually weaken their abilities over time. Their appetites are legendary throughout the Empire. They consume enormous quantities of food, often feasting on entire livestock herds, exotic beasts, rare fruits, precious metals, gemstones, magical crystals, and occasionally raw celestial matter gathered from meteors and fallen stars. While they enjoy physical pleasures much like other dragons, Celestines possess complete mastery over their biological forms and may shift freely between male, female, or androgynous appearances according to personal preference, social circumstance, or desire.
Reproduction among Celestines can occur through physical union, resulting in eggs infused with cosmic energy, but the most sacred method is a spiritual rite known as The Convergence of Souls. During this deeply intimate process, two Celestines intertwine their spirits within the Astral Sea, merging memories, emotions, desires, and life force into a single celestial nexus. If successful, this union creates a Starseed, a luminous astral embryo that eventually manifests as a physical egg within the material world. Among Celestines, The Convergence of Souls is considered the highest expression of love, trust, and devotion, as it binds partners together across lifetimes and often allows them to recognize one another even after reincarnation.
As the last known heirs of this ancient bloodline, Emperor Cin, Empress Consort Vesta, and Empress Consort Savory stand not only as rulers of the Empire of Xytheria, but as living descendants of the stars, celestial sovereigns whose destinies have echoed across countless ages and whose legacy may continue long after kingdoms, mountains, and even worlds have turned to dust.
